De sportjournalist Desney Romeo heeft gisteren op zijn facebook pagina gemeld dat de assistant trainers van onze nationale selectie, niet op de hoogte zijn van een eventuele waarnemingsfunctie. Dit naar aanleiding van een verklaring, uitgegeven over het niet verlengen van de contract van de bondscoach Aaron Winter. Volgens het bestuur van de Surinaamse Voetbal Bond(SVB) is het contract van Winter niet verlengd, omdat hij de afgesproken doelstellingen niet heeft gehaald. Het bestuur benadrukte, dat de bondscoach niet is ontslagen zoals door enkele mediahuizen werd geschreven.<\/p>\n

Volgens de SVB ligt de leiding in handen van assistant trainers Roberto Godeken en Ryan Koolwijk. Echter ontkent het tweetal iets af te weten van hun nieuwe functie en het niet verlengen van het contract van Winter. Zij geven aan, dat vanwege SVB een tegenstrijdige verklaring is afgelegd.
