De nationale vrouwen voetbalselectie onder leiding van Hesron Jeroe verloor gisteren in het Franklin Essed stadion met 1-0 van het team van Guyana. Deze wedstrijd werd gespeeld in de road to Concacaf Gold Cup. Shanice Alferd maakte het doelpunt voor de Guyanezen in de 41e minuut. Suriname probeerde met volle inzet de gelijkmaker te scoren in de tweede helft, maar de bal ging maar het leverde niets op.<\/p>\n

Suriname zit in groep A met Antigua en Barbuda, Dominica en Guyana. Guyana is momenteel koploper met 6 punten uit drie wedstrijden. De tegenwedstrijd wordt op 29 oktober gespeeld in Suriname,\u00a0 omdat het veld in Guyana werd afgekeurd.<\/p>\n

Volgens Jeroe hebben de gemaakte afspraken niet het gewenste resultaat opgeleverd. Ook het aandringen om het Guyana niet gemakkelijk te maken, bleek niet te helpen. Volgens de bondscoach is hij ook niet eens met de scheidsrechter, die een doelpunt van Andaya Landvelt afkeurde.
