Politie-eenheden hebben gistermiddag bij een inval aan de Industrieweg Zuid (Paramaribo) ruim driehonderd en vijftig pakjes coca\u00efnepasta in beslag genomen. Hoewel de afdeling Public Relations van het Korps Politie Suriname het exacte gewicht niet heeft genoemd, maken bronnen bij de politie aan de krant bekend dat het om ongeveer 300 kilogram gaat. De politie liet wel weten dat er 376 pakken met coca\u00efnepasta aangetroffen en in beslag genomen. De drugs was verstopt in een graafmachine. De inval vond plaats bij een machinepark vol graafmachines, vuilophaalwagens en vrachtwagens. Buurtbewoners maakten na de inval melding dat meerdere pick-ups nodig waren om de in beslag genomen drugs af te voeren. Volgens de politie zijn vier mannen aangehouden. Een van de aangehoudenen is Surinamer en drie hebben een andere nationaliteit.
